relief by amputation

I melt like ice
I order a full retreat of  my words
silently
Looking down
through the cloak

You engage me like a child welds to my heart
interlaced
all things prominent meld into the flat
all things proud cower into shadow
all colors chroma muted to a halt

SCREAM

some others begin to gather around
and find comfort
in our fist fight of omission
heavy heavy knuckled hands, from a silent picture show
miss, miss
consciousness blinks
cut flush, flesh torn, bones sheered
blank white blinding deafening pain
you are severed at the knees
and relieved from the worlds weight
