I trek my way
to the skylight of the earth
peek up through to see
the universe lonely
a little star tugs on a comet
A neutron star strips love from a planet
a nebula shrugs off a smile
from a beautiful red dress
and a heart full of hope
somewhere within me
I know that I am the only one
this universe wants to see
this universe is afraid
and most certainly useless
until I rest my hand on its shoulder
smiling.
